Tristan Tuckey : Photographer, Creative Director and Artist
Tristan was the founding Blue Orb Trustee; he commits an immense amount of ongoing energy and vision to the Orb. He is a trained designer, experienced photographer and an exhibiting artist.
His last 8 years have been working in and (preferably) around the Internet industry in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. Previous positions include web designer and producer at Telecom Xtra, New Zealand’s largest ISP and content website, and senior designer for UK based start up 2020Me. Tristan has experience developing sites and branding collateral for many of the worlds leading brands including the Rover Group - Rover, Land Rover, Mini and BMW.
He currently runs and co-owns Big Fish Creative.
Peter Graham : DOC Kiwi Ranger, Dad and Voice Artist Pete has been with the Department of Conservation for over 18 years. During this time he has been involved in a wide range of tasks from sanitary duties in Te Paki to trapping cats on the Chatham Islands. For the last eleven years he has been dedicated to predator research, chick monitoring and dog aversion training in Northland for the Save the Kiwi Programme. Working in the field with his kiwi dogs Manu & Rua, Pete’s ultimate objective is to protect the Kiwi and nurture it’s population recovery.
Add to this a keen interest in rugby; two extended working holidays in Southern Africa, part time volunteer work for Blue Orb, and a wife and two kids, you could say Pete keeps himself fairly busy.
Pete’s work with the Kiwi has been the inspiration behind blue orbs involvement in kiwi.
Bruce Southwick : Photographer, cameraman
Bruce, an accomplished photographer with over 10 years experience in the television and photographic industries, he runs ZOOM Fiji, a photography business in Suva, Fiji.
Bruce has worked for both TVNZ and TV3 as a sound recordist and cameraman. Most prominently on current affairs, news and documentary stories for TVNZ News, Holmes and Fair Go. In 2000, Bruce had the privilege to spend two weeks filming Sir Peter Blake on his Seamaster Vessel before Sir Peter left New Zealand to work in the Amazon. In addition Bruce has worked freelance for various magazines and newspapers, including The New Zealand Herald, and has received Kodak Gold awards for his photography.
Bruce’s passion is a great asset to Blue Orb.
