Aotearoa New Zealand is an amazing place. It is new and young, it is green and beautiful. The culture and the people are like nowhere else on earth. Belonging here and spending time here is a privilege, and we must take on board our responsibilities to this place if we want to retain its beauty and uniqueness.

We have the opportunity and privilege to advocate and protect what is here.

Act responsibly. Be sustainable. Care for the orb.

What do we do to support these ideas?

• use the digital world to raise awareness of and advocate for conservation issues;
• use the digital world to preserve integrity of culture, and get people sharing in their own culture;
• use our network and expertise to advance the mainstream adoption of these ideas;
• document the uniqueness of New Zealand culture to share with New Zealand and the world.

We think of, create and bring to life projects that help protect the environment (particularly endangered species) and document culture.

As is noted in our Trust Deed, we seek to:
– Encourage a greater understanding of the New Zealand environment and culture and its place in the global community through the use of interactive technologies
– Further the appreciation and learning of New Zealanders, especially school-aged children, through the presentation of cultural and environmental information on Internet sites featuring web-based documentaries and constantly updated visual still shots
– Promote the use of new wireless based technologies to initiate interest and research into the unique New Zealand landscape, wildlife and culture and to assist the conservation efforts of the Department of Conservation
